Tips and tricks for taking care of your SummitShaker.

Yes! All parts of the Kilo are top-rack dishwasher safe!

The simple answer is, no. While the silicone cup is technically microwave safe, the plastic body and lid are not and should not be used in the microwave…and neither should the wire agitator.

We don’t recommend using the Kilo with hot liquids.

Go for it!

We recommend rinsing the shaker immediately after use, when possible, and washing regularly to keep it nice and clean.

We don’t recommend using the Kilo with carbonated or fizzy drinks/mixes as pressure can build and cause leaks, if not released quickly enough. This can include some pre-workout or energy supplements. If you’re in a pinch or just can’t stand not using your Kilo for these types of drinks (we can’t blame you!), be sure to remove the stopper periodically between shaking to release the pressure as well as not storing with the stopper in place for long periods of time.

Before you try to expand the cup, please make sure that the stopper has been removed from the spout. Our stopper makes an airtight seal (to prevent leaks), which keeps the cup from expanding.

Once the Kilo is fully dried and the stopper is fully inserted, it should be leakproof. The dual ribbed stopper was designed to provide an air tight seal. If you are experiencing a leak, please disassemble the cup and reassemble, making sure that the silicone cup is fully aligned with the top rim, just above the threading. Then set the lid down carefully over to top (with the drinking spout aligned with the tether) until you feel it seat just around the silicone and turn a 1/2 turn until fully tightened.

Yes! Each Kilo unit comes with a wire agitator that collapses down with the cup, making it easy to store inside, even while the Kilo is collapsed.

Great question! That’s what we call the “Stopper Storage”. It’s a convenient location to store the stopper while opening/collapsing or while chugging your protein!

The Kilo is 5.5" tall when fully expanded and 2.5" when collapsed. It has a diameter of 4" at the top and just under 2.75" at the base.
